Kevin Williams

Mr. Williams is a senior management executive and board advisor experienced in growing business by developing a dynamic strategy that fits the needs of today's business climate. Blends technical knowledge with strong operational and project management skills to help build effective teams and improve EBITDA by growing revenue, reducing costs and increasing operating efficiency. He is experienced in strategy development/deployment, operational performance improvements, and executive management team operation. He has strong knowledge of international business operations, manufacturing and culture.

Mr. Williams has held a number of senior executive positions, most recently he was Vice President of Global Engineering and Chief Development Officer for 3D Systems Corporation in Rock Hill, SC. At 3D Systems, Mr. Williams wasresponsible for leading the teams that develop all 3D printers from consumer-level through production systems intended for traditional prototyping and industrial manufacturing. He Launched 8 new printing systems in 12 months, each with first of its kind technology and market leadership position from the personal line through production. He was responsible for program management from product development through commercial release and initial field support.

Mr. Williams was also Vice President of Engineering & CTO of Gerber Scientific, Inc in Tolland, CT until November of 2012. At Gerber he directed the initiative to balance the R&D portfolio across the enterprise, aligning corporate and business unit priorities. He championed a “Value Engineering” model, consolidating resources from R&D and Operations into a single support unit to improve customer satisfaction, better utilize resources, and lower costs. He was a key member of the transition management team overseeing acquisition and privatization of Gerber Scientific Inc. in August of 2011 and his efforts helped to double EBITDA performance over 14 months.

Mr. Williams also chaired the Technology Advisory Board for Gerber Scientific, Inc until August of 2011 when he was appointed CTO. In previous roles at Gerber, Mr. Williams also led multinational R&D organizations, with locations in US/Europe and China. He was heavily involved in development of new corporate strategy, which achieved reductionsin operational expenses, while improving business operations and strategic positioning.

Mr. Williams has been a technical advisor to the IP Factory, a Connecticut-based not for profit enterprise charged with creating new technology companies. The staff and advisors work to identify dormant intellectual property at Partner companies that would be appropriate candidates for commercialization. Mr. Williams is a former board member for the Connecticut Technology Council and also served on the advisory board for the Tagliatella School of Engineering at the University of New Haven. Mr. Williams holds a MSEE degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BSEE from Northeastern University.
