Joseph Lubenstein
Principal, The IMPACT Group



Mr. Lubenstein is a senior executive with extensive experience in Aerospace/Defense and Education.

Mr. Lubenstein serves as Director of the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, a CREC Magnet school dedicated to the instruction of high school students in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, and Biotechnical Studies.

Prior to joining CREC, Mr. Lubenstein had a 31-year career as an Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer including senior executive positions at both Pratt & Whitney and Kaman Aerospace, where he was company President.

As Kaman’s President, Mr. Lubenstein oversaw the expansion of the rotorcraft OEM company into a diversified provider of Engineering, Aero-structures, Composites, Munitions Components, and specialized technologies.

At Pratt & Whitney, Mr. Lubenstein held positions in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Quality Assurance. His organizational leadership included positions as Plant Manager, Program Manager PW4000, Vice President Spares Management and Logistics, and Senior VP Quality Assurance.

Mr. Lubenstein holds a Bachelor Degree in Aerospace Engineering from NYU Polytechnic, a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic, and a Master in Business Administration from The Barney School at The University of Hartford.
